Live video can now be sent directly from the iPhone to the web. There is a new application that offers you to send video from both the Iphone and 3GS from iPhone 3G which of course really only have still camera.
With the program Ustream to iPhone can now stream video directly to a site. From the program can then communicate with friends using Twitter to broadcast live and then get the film also uploaded to Youtube. The viewing can then chat with you directly and answer the polls in the website, voting you upload from the program.
Ustream is mainly used for live broadcasts, but the clips can also be saved so you can see them afterwards. As a user of the program, you can choose to do the broadcast audience, or just have it locally on the phone. The film will be available only in the quiver application and ports not in the camera roll as it becomes available for other applications in your phone.
Apple has previously been restrictive in allowing this type of program and they have often been limited to just serve the story and not when you’re limited to 3G connectivity. Ustream works via both WLAN and 3G.
