Many have longed for a androidlur from HTC with specifications in line with the oh so delicious Windows Mobile phone Touch HD2, but according to HTC’s CEO Peter Chou, we will not see a Touch HD2 with Android though the course is technically possible . In a entervju with Forbes that Chou had this to say about Android and Touch HD2:
Windows Mobile innovation has been a little slow and interest in Windows Mobile phones has been declining.

Technically, we could make the HD2 an Android phone, but I have to take care of Windows Mobile.
This is disappointing and also puzzling when one wonders what their underlying reasons for “taking care” of Windows Mobile. If a platform is good it will sell well despite the competition, and vice versa. To coddle with a dying platform feels as artificial respiration … and who favors this, anyway? Android is extremely hot right now, and that HTC is not fit to strike while the iron is hot feels like a really bad business decision.
Given that Android, after all, is so hot that it is so, we hope, of course, HTC has another large and again for Android, something equivalent to Touch HD2 but still very own phone. About HTC chooses not to pick up a androidlur level with HD2, just because they for some reason want to protect Windows Mobile, so I think they will quickly lose its head start that they currently have on androidmarknaden.
